About this event
Nook [word, threshold-bed], In situ installation composed of two monumental photographs printed on paper and presented on wall panels, 2026Inspired by the architecture of Oscar Niemeyer, this in situ installation explores nooks, these residual spaces between curves and lines. Two monumental photographs explore the corners of architecture and bring out, in its interstices, a form of intimacy. Echoing Nuit Blanche, the work connects these interstices to a form of love conceived as an attention paid to silences, to gaps and to what remains unresolved in the other.
The work of Yiseul Bae, at the crossroads of photography, installation, sound and writing, explores the intermediate spaces: zones of passage, corners, neglected surfaces, fragments of language. Through sensitive devices, often activated by the spectator's gaze or movement, she makes perceptible the discreet forms of presence that emerge in the interstices of everyday life, and questions the relationships between memory, forgetting and architectures of the unsaid.
