About this event
Installation
“At my place, the forest flows down to the river. Between the slender trunks of the maples and birches, my mind escapes as I walk along the paths towards the St. Lawrence which suddenly unfolds, vast and majestic. It is to this same wandering that I invite you here, in the Récollets chapel: a stroll in an invented forest which, at dusk, transforms into an ocean surf. »
For this Parisian Nuit blanche, Pierre Bruneau unveils an original and striking installation, entirely composed of PVC tubes, evoking a birch forest. Initially vertical and rigid, the work unfolds into a vibrant structure under the use of phosphorescent pigments which transform it according to the luminous environment. Exploiting the illusion of the curved line filigreed within its components, the motorized structure unfolds here in an undulating panorama echoing the river. The artist invites you to come and stroll through the heart of this vibrant structure, on the edge of the land and the river.
