About this event
At the Swedish Institute, the work takes the form of a circular organ installation. Diffusing sound in all directions, it engages the body in movement and promotes active listening: by circulating around the sculpture, the public transforms its perception and influences the listening experience through its position in space. Saint-Esprit, where the architecture and resonance of the place become integral components of the piece.
Amina Hocine is a composer and sound artist living in Stockholm. She is particularly recognized for her work with a self-built modular organ, which she has presented on numerous stages across Europe. Her music relies on immersive textures, minimalist and spiritual foundations and psychoacoustic effects that she calls Sound Crystals. His work explores the interaction between space and sound, both acoustically and perceptually. She composes works for performers as well as acousmatic pieces. His most recent creation was presented at the INA grm FOCUS festival in April 2025. His first instrumental album, ātamōn, was released on the Subtext label in July 2025.
