MICKAËL PHELIPPEAU, Yellow Party, Participatory ballYellow Party is a large festive and participatory event, combining collective ball and DJ set. First, choreographer Mickaël Phelippeau invites several artists with unique worlds — Marie-Laure Caradec, Ben Cissé, Anastasia Moussier and Alban Richard. Each person performs a dance to music whose title includes the word “Jaune”, “Yellow”, “Amarillo” or “Gelb”, and transmits their choreography to the audience.
The party then continues with a DJ set by Verginie Descente, whose free and incandescent universe mixes house, pop and techno to make bodies vibrate and transform the track into a shared party space. Yellow will be in the spotlight: come with an accessory, a detail or a total yellow look, all fantasies are welcome to light up the night.
Mickaël Phelippeau is a French choreographer and dancer. After studying visual arts and dance, he developed a choreographic approach based on encounters and otherness. He works with performers, collectives and in different contexts to paint choreographic portraits.
