About this event

Under the skin of the sky, immersive and participatory sound installation, 2026Under the skin of the sky is an invisible membrane stretched between human hearts and the atmosphere, an installation designed as a sensitive surface, where anonymous voices from all over the world deposit their wishes, their desires, their most intimate prayers. These voices do not remain intact. Collected via a listening platform ahead of the event, they now cross the sky, transform, mingle with lightning strikes, mapped in real time across the world. Then a living and moving sound material is born, made of dispersed intimacies and celestial energies. The work breathes like skin: it captures, transmits, vibrates. It makes audible what usually remains buried, a sensitive map of human desires, on a planetary scale. Presented for the first time, Under the skin of the sky offers an experience that is both collective and intimate. In this listening, everyone becomes a wave among others, a presence dissolved in an invisible choir, an attempt to sew the world together through sound, between the inside and the outside, between the earth and the sky.

On the evening of Nuit Blanche, at the heart of the installation, a free antenna will be held all night by Dorothée Barba. It will be possible to discuss your greatest wishes by calling 01 59 58 00 99. Free broadcast from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Marie-Luce Nadal (born in 1984 in Perpignan, lives and works in Paris) is an artist and researcher. Her work explores atmospheric phenomena – clouds, lightning, winds – which she understands as materials to be cultivated, captured or translated. At the crossroads of art, science and fiction, she designs sensitive devices that connect bodies to the dynamics of the sky. His works take the form of installations, machines or stories, where the invisible becomes perceptible.
