About this event

Liquid Forms - Sound Laboratory is an immersive visual and sound performance centered on water, born from the collaboration between musician Olga Maximova and artist Emilie Hirayama. Painting and music interact through the medium of water: the drops trigger sounds captured by a hydrophone, while conductive brushes translate the gestures into music.

The composition that is created on the surface of the water is unique and evolving, then transferred to fabric thanks to the Japanese know-how of Suminagashi. Brushes become both drawing tools and sound instruments.

For the 2026 edition of Nuit blanche, the media library will host Liquid Forms - Sound Laboratory from 7 p.m. to midnight, with free access.
