This division, or rather this doubling, resonates instinctively with the microscopic imaging of the blastocyst. Through the assembly of everyday objects, he seeks to bring to light the fragmented survivals of intimate stories. In mammals, this first cell division constitutes the beginning of the potential for life. The banal, the anecdotal and the morbid intermingle with soft words. The choice of smell - that of laundry - is rooted in a universally recognizable olfactory register: invoking the intimacy of freshly washed sheets, an enclosed and protected space, sheltered from external torments - dust and noise - outlining a form of sensitive refuge.
Kit Szasz is an interdisciplinary artist of Romanian and Hungarian origin, graduated from the ESBA Noli me tangere, Olfactory installation, sculpture (3D printing, metal), 2026The starting point for this spatial intervention is the myth of the origin of love in Plato's Symposium.
