About this event

It seeks to strengthen the preservation of the indigenous cultures of its ancestral territory which are still suffering the horrors of colonization. "This evening I am trying to look for the word-music, the word-story, the word-resistance, the word in its first form."

With the support of: Ville de Paris; She curated the exhibition “Nhande Marandu”: an indigenous ethnomedia, at the Museum of Tomorrow (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, 2022-2023). Through the thought that she develops and which she calls “Landguage Back”, she emancipates herself. Yuwey Henri is a talãmelonin (poet, author), onumingadoton (thinker) and owomatodon (activist) of the Kalin'a Tɨlewuyu nation (indigenous people of “French Guiana”) and Franco-Brazilian. In 2024, she resides in LABVERDE (Amazonas). His works, denouncing historically epistemic state strategies, carry the hope of finding oneself, of valuing oneself in its entirety to fight against systemic erasure and forgetting. Civic Service; She is president of Documents d'Artistes Caraibes et Amazonies (DDACA) which aims to promote and disseminate contemporary art from these territories. In 2025, she is guest curator of the XVth Ceará International Book Biennale and the 1st Indigenous Literature Festival of the Museum of Indigenous Cultures, Ayvu Nhevaitim (FLAN) – Meeting of Indigenous Voices. To the rhythms of the noises of the city, of the humans and non-humans who inhabit it, the sounds shape the stories to highlight invisible voices.
