About this event
The Two Fishermen is an operetta in one act, created in 1857 at the Théâtre des Bouffes-Parisiens, whose score was composed by Jacques Offenbach. The story of Polissard and Gros-Minet, taking advantage of the night to indulge in their favorite leisure: fishing on the line, was told. Adapted by Romain Daiz and Igor Bouin, two comic baritones, the operetta has since been enriched. Some loans from Maurice Ravel, Camille Saint-Saëns or Michel Fugain will delight young and old. And who says adaptation does not say decrease! The Two Fishermen, it is rather a reduction for a small workforce of a large genus: opera. The opportunity to discover a show in songs, in which the musicians, accompanied by the cello and piano – and sometimes even the bagpipe! – evolves in beautiful settings where the paintings are chained with the help of scenic effects that leave children and their parents dreaming.
After Les Deux Pêchers, operette in one act, libretto by Charles Duppety and Ernest Bourget, music by Jacques Offenbach, represented for the first time on November 16, 1857 in Paris, at the Théâtre des Buffes-Parisiens.
