About this event
On June 21, MansA-Maison des Mondes Africains extends the launch of the Explain The Sound podcast with an evening dedicated to the roots and reinventions of Afro-diasporic electronic music.
From house born in the clubs of Chicago to techno from Detroit, electronic music has been deeply marked by the creations, struggles and imaginations of black and queer communities. However, those who are at the origins still too often remain absent from the dominant narratives.
For this Music Festival, MansA is putting these heritages in the spotlight and celebrating the artists who continue today to evolve these aesthetics throughout the world. A program designed as a space of transmission, discovery and celebration, where different generations and visions of electronic cultures intersect.
